Herbs, spices should be stored in a cool, dry and dark place. Heat, light and moisture can lead to a reduction in the quality of the herbs or spices, moisture can also cause lumps and mold formation. Heat and light are bad for the quality, this causes the herbs or spices to dry out and lose their smell, color and taste.
This climate cabinet has one temperature zone that can be set with a range between 08-18° C.
A nice “constant” temperature for herbs is between 12-18° C.
But this climate cabinet is also suitable for storing cresses! Store cress at a low temperature. Cresses with a (moist) nutrient medium can then be kept for about a week!
The cabinet works on 220 Volt - and the door (double glazing) has a dark coating which gives the cabinet a luxurious look and daylight does not affect the herbs and/or spices stored in it.
